The Abbott Athletic Booster Club is a volunteer-led organization that was established to promote and strengthen school and town-sponsored athletic programs and amenities in Abbott. The Athletic Booster Club coordinates its activities with the Athletic Director, which will then be approved by the school Superintendent. This cooperation between the Booster Club and AISD administration is essential to the success of the club's activities. All monies raised go directly to our Abbott Athletic Department to support our student-athletes and coaches.

The mission of the Abbott Athletic Booster Club is to support and strengthen Abbott’s athletic programs through fundraising, volunteer service, and community involvement. We are committed to providing opportunities and resources for our student-athletes and coaches while promoting Panther pride, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Board Meetings Process and Protocol
As needed, our AABC Board will conduct meetings to effectively and efficiently plan and communicate with our leadership group and with our community. Typically, these meetings happen 3-4 times per year, but not on a scheduled or ongoing basis.
An agenda is produced for each meeting and consists of both Open Session and an Executive (or Closed) Session to allow the Board to discuss public and sensitive information. Meetings will be scheduled and posted on the AABC Facebook page calendar at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting date.
Visitors are welcome to attend to observe during Open Session. Visitors who attend the meeting will each have a chance to speak if time is requested at least 48 hours before the meeting and approved for an agenda item.
When addressing the Board, please keep the following items in mind:

  • Comments during the Open Session are limited to five minutes.
  • Please arrive on time. The meeting starts promptly at the given start time, Visitors who arrive late may not be able to participate in the meeting.
  • Please be respectful of the Board and do not interrupt during discussions and voting.
  • If you feel that five minutes is not enough time to address your concerns, you may send an email or letter to the Board at abbottathletes@gmail.com
  • At the discretion of the Board President, and with advance notice, a Visitor's input may be added as an agenda item.
  • Requests for information and answers to questions from the Board will be discussed at the following meeting. The Board speaks with one voice, and we want to make certain that we have given your comment the attention it deserves.
  • You may speak with any Board Member with your concerns at any time, but please be aware that the Board speaks with one voice, meaning the Members cannot respond to you on behalf of the Board without discussing your concerns as a group.
The Board may decide that your concern is an issue that has been delegated to the Program Managers and therefore refer you to the PM for next response or steps.
